I am......

i am still alive.......
i have been busy with life.  it some how seems to get in the way of my sewing.  ugh.  stupid health issues.  none the less i have been back to quilting.  i made this deal with myself that i can't start a new project until all of my tops are quilted.  what was i thinking?  i don't think i was thinking at all.............  the good news is that i finished quilting another one today.

here are the 6 that i have done so far.

the question now is do i quilt more or do i start putting the binding on these?  also, if i have the fabric, the pattern and the project stated in my head (months ago before this deal i made with myself) does that count as starting a new project?  wondering minds (mine) want to know.  i am itching to start putting these Swoon blocks together.......

note to self - don't loan out your camera to your brother who goes on a trip to Mexico and doesn't give your camera back for a month....  no matter how many times you ask for it back.

Awesome quilts. I love to put binding on. Send them to me so you can start something new.

I always want to put the binding on because then the quilt is finished! In the grand scheme of things it doesn't take that long.... But you could make yourself a deal - one quilt bound or quilted = one swoon block! Kind of a little reward for doing a little more on your deal!!

Hey Ann - love your quilts and I MISS your adorable little face.!! I was just looking at your pile of binding that needs done. I have the absolute most amazing way to bind them now. NO MORE HAND SEWING.!! You take two piece of binding, one piece is 1 3/4 inches wide and becomes your "piping", the other is 1 1/2 and is the "back" of your quilt. You start by sewing the two pieces together, then press them in half, not on the seam you sewed. Then you sew your binding to the BACK of your quilt and press towards the front. Once thats done you now just stitch in the ditch and voila, you've got instant binding with a pop of color in the "piping". it's totally amazing and the corners mitre perfectly.! Love ya.!

Oops, the smaller binding strip is only 1 1/4 inches. Not 1 1/2 like I previously said. :)
